Biography

Dandara Ohana Guerra is a Brazilian actress, director, and audiovisual professional with more than 20 years of experience in film, television, and digital content. She began her career as an actress and later built an extensive path as a director and assistant director, working on productions since 2001. Over the years, she has collaborated with filmmakers such as Ruy Guerra, Andrucha Waddington, Natalia Warth, Luisa Lima, and Julio Bressane across feature films, television series, and advertising projects.

As an actress, she has received awards for her performances, including Best Actress honors at Ver e Fazer Filmes, FestCine Maracanaú, and the 48th Guarnicê Festival of Cinema for her role in Mambembe. As a director, her work includes Afeto, Roda da Magia, Casa de Rainha, Oração à Lua, and Pele 1 Real, as well as television and digital projects such as Tempero de Família and branded content created for Claudia Ohana, Sallve, and Contém 1g.

In 2020, she founded Clube do Filme, a project devoted to film study and discussion, with a focus on cinematic language, image analysis, and critical viewing. She is also a guest professor at UNIRIO, where she teaches film language and image analysis. Her training includes a degree in Cinema and Audiovisual, studies in Philosophy at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and additional formation in theater, acting, dance, and psychoanalysis.
