Joining ASCAP in 1943, his chief musical collaborators included Jimmy Dorsey, Edmund Anderson, Jimmy Eaton, Louis Forbes, Kermit Goell, Edward Heyman, and Frank Loesser. His other popular-song compositions include "I Heard You Cried Last Night", "I'm Misunderstood", "Since You Went Away", "Fascination", "In My Arms", "Two Again", "I Hear It From Everyone But You", and "When Am I Gonna Kiss You Good Morning?".
