  • Rod excelled in Art and Athletics at EAST DENVER HIGH SCHOOL. Lettering in Football as an Offensive Guard and on the Track Team as a "Discus" thrower for East High when they won the State Championship in Track and Field. He majored and excelled in Art Classes as well.

    Graduating from East High, he went on to study Fine Arts at Southern Colorado State College as well as playing offensive Guard and Defensive tackle on the SCSC football team. Grier then transferred to Colorado State University to major in Art and Drama and also Played Football on the CSU football team as a red-shirt Defensive Tackle. It was here that he was encouraged to go on to study Drama in New York City at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre with Sandy Meisner and William Esper.

Fox)'s home in the opening fight scene. Tarantino Commissioned Grier to design Black Military History Plates that were destroyed in the scene when Uma and Vivica crashed into a book shelve.
