Biography

Scarborough-born dancer and actress Judy started dancing lessons at the age of five at a local academy. She later trained at the Royal Academy and Grandison College. Her first big break came at eighteen, performing at the Casino De Paris. She later danced in Italy and at the London Palladium. In London, she had a role in the musical 'Cabaret'. Her greatest dance triumph was as 'Judy', the second lead in the New York Shakespeare production of a 'Chorus Line' at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Away from the theatre, she presented the children's television program 'Playaway' and featured in numerous television commercials. Her parents, Nicky and Len Gridley, ran the Ravenhall Hotel at Ravenscar, near Scarborough.
