- Was one of the busiest radio actors in the business, with regular appearances on such shows as "Dragnet", "Nightbeat", "The Lone Ranger" and many more. Had extremely wide range, playing any female character. Was radio's female equivalent to William Conrad, Ben Wright and Elliott Lewis.
- Provided the voice of the mother in Psycho (1960), Psycho II (1983) and Psycho III (1986). Played another Mrs. Bates (Bonnie) in The Pyramid Swindle (1967).
- Was highly regarded by Jack Webb who used her frequently in supporting roles, first in the radio series "Dragnet" and later in the television and motion picture versions of the police drama.
- Before becoming an actress, she played bass viola with the Pasadena Symphony and was a member of the Singing Strings before switching to radio drama.
- Along with Anthony Perkins and Vera Miles, she is one of only three actors to appear in both Psycho (1960) and Psycho II (1983).
- Had 3 sons with husband Jaime Del Valle: Gregg Del Valle, Jaime Carillo Del Valle, Jr. & Ricardo Del Valle.
- Daughter of Edward William Gregg & Dewey Alphaleta Todd.
- She was cremated at Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery after her family had a private funeral service for her in its mortuary chapel.
