- Was one of the busiest radio actors in the business, with regular appearances on such shows as "Dragnet", "Nightbeat", "The Lone Ranger" and many more. Had extremely wide range, playing any female character. Was radio's female equivalent to William Conrad, Ben Wright and Elliott Lewis.
- Provided the voice of the mother in Psycho (1960), Psycho II (1983) and Psycho III (1986). Played another Mrs. Bates (Bonnie) in The Pyramid Swindle (1967).
- Was highly regarded by Jack Webb who used her frequently in supporting roles, first in the radio series "Dragnet" and later in the television and motion picture versions of the police drama.
