Clifford Grant was born on September 11, 1930 in Waverley, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He was an actor, known for Who's Afraid of Opera? (1972), Norma (1978) and Hamlet (1982). He was married to Ruth Anders and Jeanette Earle. He died on October 7, 2021 in Greenwich, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Opera singer (bass) who in 1966 joined Sadler's Wells, made his Covent Garden debut in 1974, and retired from the stage in 1990.

He was awarded the O.A.M. (Order of Australia Medal) in the 2008 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to the performing arts particularly as an opera singer.
