  • Percy Granger was born on August 8, 1945 in Norman, Oklahoma, USA. He was a writer and actor, known for Loving (1983), As the World Turns (1956) and The Comeback (1989). He died on March 10, 1997 in New York City, New York, USA.

  • Percy Granger graduated from Norman High School in Norman, Oklahoma, in 1963. He played the lead of Harold Hill in "The Music Man" at Norman High, which became a well-remembered performance over the years. His father, Dr. Bruce Granger, was a longtime professor of English at the University of Oklahoma. His brother, Adam Granger, has written about, taught and played fiddle tunes in the flatpick style for more than 25 years in Minneapolis, Minn. He is a veteran member of the house band for the Prairie Home Companion and has recorded six albums. Percy Granger's untimely death in 1997 cut short an extremely promising career as a playwright in New York City.
