  • Aleksandr Gradskiy is People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1999). He graduated from the Gnessin's Class on vocals (1974), studied at the Moscow Conservatoire in composition class (1975-1976, T. Khrennikov's class). Singer, composer, poet, guitarist. The founder of the rock band Skomorokhi (1966). In the early 70's he created a series of compositions for verses by Burns and Shakespeare, a musical encyclopedia of rock styles. The author of the first Soviet rock opera "Stadium" (1973, the memory of Victor Hara), music for the first domestic rock ballet "Man" (based on the novel by R. Kipling). Since 1988 - Director of the Moscow Theater and Concert Music Association. Gradskiy released CDs: "Romance of the Lovers" (1974), "Russian Songs" (1980), "The Fool's Thoughts", "Utopia A.G." (1988), "Nostalgia", "Monte Cristo", "Expedition" ( 1990), "Untimely Songs" (1993), "Fruits from the Cemetery" (1994) and others. Repeatedly performed parts in classical operas (Stargazer - "The Golden Cockerel" Rimsky-Korsakov, Bolshoi Theater). Directed the documentary "Anti-perestroika blues" (1991), the author of music for gaming, documentary and animation films.
