- The general public became familiar with the face of Geneviève Grad through the role of the daughter of Chief Warrant Officer Cruchot, played by Louis de Funès in the successful series of "Gendarmes" films. In the first part, Geneviève Grad herself sings "Douliou douliou Saint-Tropez", a pop song that has gone down in history and is often misspelled as "Do you do you Saint-Tropez".
- From 1964 to 1968, she made her name in France playing Nicole Cruchot, the daughter of Chief Warrant Officer Ludovic Cruchot (Louis de Funès ), in the first three films of the Gendarmes series : The Gendarme of Saint-Tropez , The Gendarme in New York and The Gendarme Gets Married . She lent her voice to some songs such as Douliou-douliou Saint-Tropez or Les garçons sont gentils. After this last filming, she decided to take a step back from this profession, nervously tired.
- She did not play in the last three Gendarme films between 1970 and 1982, the character of Nicole Cruchot even being deleted.
