Biography

Blonde actress and dancer. An officer's daughter, she was trained as a ballerina on performed in public from the age of fifteen. She was married to German film star Willy Fritsch.

She had her greatest successes as a dancer, the film industry played a minor part in her career.

She had two children with her husband and ended her career to take care of them. Their son Thomas, who became a successful actor, was born in 1944 in Dresden, where Dinah had fled for the bombings of Berlin.

Dinah raised the children practically alone until she was diagnosed with cancer when she was only 46 years old.

She was buried at the Ohlsdorfer Friedhof in Hamburg. Her husband Willy Fritsch was buried beside her in 1971.
