His first cousin, David Lyons, is manager of the Jerry Lee Scott Band, based in Virginia.

Is the third oldest of five; has older brother and sister and a younger brother and sister. Two of his brothers are currently in the U.S. Air Force.

Air Force is a family tradition, as his father Anthony served and two of Ben's brothers are actively serving in the Air Force.

His middle name, Norris, comes from the middle name of his paternal grandfather, Gwynn Norris, who lives in Gloucester, Virginia and is a veteran of WWII (Army Air Corps).

Playing venues around the country, especially California, with the Jonny Was band, which recently added a fourth member. (September 2004)
