Biography

Col Goudie BFE is a feature film editor with a career spanning over 40 years, editing everything from 16mm film to Digital 65mm, and working in environments ranging from major studios to hotel rooms and even tin shacks.

Col's work at MARV Studios included "Argylle" (2024) and "Tetris" (2023). Other credits include the Roald Dahl biopic "To Olivia" (2021), the billion-dollar smash "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" (2016), and the multi award winning "Monsters" (2010).

Col does not limit their work to big budget productions and can often be found editing independent dramas such as Alan Moore’s "The Show", as well as award winning feature documentaries including "Funny You Never Knew" (2019).

Col filmed, directed and edited the feature documentary "It’s Only a Movie for God’s Sake", distributed by Universal.

They have also worked as both editor and, at times, producer on many short films, including the award winning "James Hyde - The Very Thought of You" and Ravi Ajit Chopra’s "Cognition" (2020), a sci-fi drama starring Andrew Scott and Jeremy Irvine, which holds the Guinness World Record for Most awards won by a live action fictional short film.

Col is on the board of governors of the BFE (British Film Editors) and is a patron of both the Ealing Film Festival and Northampton Film Festival. They have been working openly as a non-binary editor since 2019 and were previously known as Colin Goudie.
