Hugo Gottschlich was born on 30 October 1905 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary. He was an actor, known for Ein Volksfeind (1964), Sissi - Die junge Kaiserin (1956) and 1. April 2000 (1952). He died on 22 March 1984 in Vienna, Austria.

Austrian stage and screen character actor, trained at the Vienna Conservatory. Ensemble member of the Burgtheater from 1955, primarily in comic roles. Busy in small supporting roles in post-1947 films and television.
