Biography

James Gordon was born on April 23, 1871 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He was an actor and director, known for The Last of the Mohicans (1920), Tumbleweeds (1925) and Hearts of Oak (1924). He was married to Rita and Mabel Van Buren. He died on May 12, 1941 in Hollywood, California, USA.

One of the founders of the acting group known as "The Troupers," Gordon was a leading man for Julia Marlowe on Broadway, appearing in Shakespearean plays that toured the country a number of times.
