Jonathan Goldman(I)

Jonathan Goldman has been working in Hollywood for over 25 years. Starting out beside an unchained lion in a downtown LA warehouse for $100 and craft service, he eventually found his way to the coffee machine of acclaimed film director, Phillip Noyce. From there he worked his way up to become the filmmaker's right-hand man (and 2nd unit director) but the gig came to an end when Jonathan sold his first screenplay. The project didn't get made. He sold a few more scripts. Neither did they. After the writers strike of '08, Jonathan found another way to tell stories at Original Productions; the "Deadliest Catch" prod-co headed by non-scripted maestro, Thom Beers. At OP Goldman managed to skip the coffee machine and work his way through the reality ranks to achieve his current role as Executive Producer/Showrunner. Most recently, Goldman and his producing partner, Brent Henderson, founded Freak Magnet Productions. Together they have produced shows for Discovery, NatGeo, A&E, History, Vice and Netflix. Their chief collaborators include astronauts, treasure hunters, LSD gurus, spies, snake hunters, ice-road truckers, ginseng diggers, various criminals, the "I'm not a cat" lawyer, plus a few fancy actors and directors along the way. Freak Magnet has projects set up with Imagine, BBC and Discovery +. Jonathan resides in Los Angeles with his wife and their blended family of four children. He also secretly plays synth for the greatest '80s band you've never heard of.
