Biography

Ariela Goldmann is a Director, Acting Coach and Intimacy Coordinator with over 40 years of professional experience. She has also worked as a Fight Director and Coordinator for 25 years, one of the pioneers in this field in Brazil. Ariela trained in the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), the School of Communications and Arts (São Paulo University, Brazil) and is a Post Graduated in Documentary by the Fundação Getúlio Vargas, São Paulo, Brazil.

As a Fight Coordinator for 25 years, she has collaborated with directors such as Walter Salles, Fernando Meirelles, Cao Hamburguer, Sérgio Machado, César Charlone, Tata Amaral, Karim Aïnouz and Marcelo Gomes among others. In 2000, she was awarded the Shell Prize for her entire body of work as Fight Director in various Brazilian theater productions.

As a Fight Coordinator, she has been requested to do Intimacy Scenes for films since the year 2000, when this role in the industry did not exist yet. It is when she began to develop her practice as an Intimacy Coordinator which continues to this day, working for platforms such as Netflix and Globoplay.

She has also worked as an Acting Coach for whole casts in series and films, working for platforms like Netflix, Globoplay, HBO, as well as for the following Brazilian production companies: O2, Gullane, Biônica, Glaz, Mixer, etc.

Working in the Theatre since 1983, her role is of a Director who has previously worked as an Actress, a Movement Director and a Fight Director.
