- Richard was born in London and studied photography and media at Kensington & Chelsea College. Starting his career as an SA on a Lucas Film after which he moved into crowd marshaling (Gladiator), doubling actors (Shakespeare in Love) and as a Stand In (notably for Tom Cruise on Eyes Wide Shut). Richard's previous company produced TV Commercials, high-end Online Marketing Videos and a couple of documentary series 'Inside Superyachts' and 'A Look at Luxury'.
The company closed during the pandemic and Richard took on the role of Covid Supervisor for a number of Amazon movies and shows. Leading to training for H&S on 'The Rings of Power', followed by becoming the H&S lead on Apple TV's 'Slow Horses' seasons 5 and 6.

- Won Aprile award for best short film in Milan 2005 for a dark comedy titled 'Wrong' as producer. Won a Best Short Film award at the London film festival 2006 for another dark comedy titled 'Shame' as producer. Won Best Short Film at the Lausanne film festival in Switzerland 2007 for 'Shame".
