Biography

Ruth Godfrey was born on February 24, 1922 in Illinois, USA. She was an actress, known for The Ten Commandments (1956), Rhythm and Weep (1946) and A Blissful Blunder (1952). She was married to Harold White. She died on January 7, 1985 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Daughter-in-law of Jules White.

A member of the Jack Cole Dancers with Nita Bieber, and Gloria Patrice.

She and her husband, Harold adopted two children: son, Jonathan (born July 7, 1959), and daughter, Gretchen (born August 6, 1961).

Sometimes billed as Ruth Godfrey White.

She died at Northridge Hospital of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Her body was cremated in Pasadena, CA., after services at Bastian and Perott Mortuary.
