Biography

Mira Gittner works as a writer, Director of Photography, Film Editor, Artwork with the wtp-kollektiv. Mira Gittner began acting at the age of 10 and has since appeared in numerous film, theatre and television productions. After graduating from drama school in 1990, she was engaged at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich (as an acting soloist), the World Theatre Project in New Delhi/India and the Theatre Institute in Munich, among others. Since 1998 Mira Gittner is active in the field of image design (camera and editing) and as a writer. Mira Gittner was awarded Producer of the Year 2000 at the Bavarian Film center Geiselgasteig for her acting performance in the psycho thriller The Room, Best Female Actor Award 2001 at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival and with the Special Award for MOontage in Feature Film 2003 at the Panorama International Film Festival in Thessaloniki for her editing of the satirical comedy Pentamagica.
