Neil Giraldo was born on December 29, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He is a composer and actor, known for The Secret of My Success (1987), The Stepfather (1987) and Vision Quest (1985). He has been married to Pat Benatar since February 20, 1982. They have two children.

[on the events that led up to his marriage proposal to Pat Benatar] We were together from September 1979. Before we even hit the stage, we were boyfriend and girlfriend. Managers, record companies, attorneys for the other side, they would make conflict for wife and I. We would normally be talking about the music, but now we are talking about the business. That was a bad thing, and we got to the last straw. And it was 1981. And we had the number 1 record, and I thought maybe I should just leave and end it. And I left for New York and i woke up one day and I said, 'No, this is insane." So I called her up and I said "Do you want to get married?" And she said "What took you so long?"
