Biography

Evgeniy Ginzburg was born on February 28, 1945 in Chelyabinsk, Chelyabinskaya obast, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia]. He was a director and writer, known for Prostodushnyy (1994), The Dead Ships Island (1987) and Retsept yeyo molodosti (1983). He died on January 15, 2012 in Moscow, Russia.
