Biography

Jez Gibson-Harris is the Creative Director of his company Crawley Creatures Ltd. www.crawley-creatures.com which was set up originally in 1986 with his then business partner Nigel Trevessey. He grew up in Barnes in London and attended Shene Grammar school. He then went onto Sir John Cass Art School. He first started work on Inseminoid in 1980 where he first became involved in developing animatronics and by 1983 Jez was key Animatronic Designer on Jabba the Hutt, the famous Stars Wars villain in Return of the Jedi. His first award came in 1992 with an EMMY for his work on the ground breaking BBC TV series Walking with Dinosaurs and 2 BAFTA's followed for the spin of series Walking with Sea Monsters and The Giant Claw. In 2006, Jez founded i-bodi Technology, i-bodiwhich provide intelligent solutions and computer-controlled test platforms for military, industry, first responders & government organisations and is a subsidiary of Crawley Creatures Ltd.
