Biography

Tom Gianelli is an actor/stuntman best known for his performance as a funny young sports reporter on the Emmy award winning HBO series Arlis$. Actor, writer and stuntman Tom is originally from Louisville, Kentucky. His Step-father William L. Asman, is a Director of photography. Tom's Uncle Bub Asman is a Sound Editor and the (winner of 2 Oscars). Tom's family moved to California to work in the motion picture business when he was 9 years old.

Tom's family settled in the small town of Thousand Oaks a suburb 30 miles outside the Hollywood area.

While in high school Tom maintained a 3.8 GPA, he lettered all 4 years in Football and Track, (3 years were Varsity) .

Still in high school at the age of 14 he worked out as a Stand-up comedian at the Comedy Store and the Laugh Factory in Hollywood. He was a member of comedian Sam Kinison's entourage the "Outlaws".

At 16 he took 3rd in a local talent contest but earned a guest "DJ" job at a local radio station KNJO doing comedy, impersonations and commercial spots for local businesses.

Tom later played Football in college (positions RB/WR). He studied Film, and Communications at UCLA and CSUN and upon graduation Tom also worked as a PSC (Private Security Contractor) for a time.

In 2003 Tom founded his company Ameri-Vegan, Inc. He is the CEO and formulator of the super-food Elixir MRE (meals ready to eat). Tom was of the first to make vegan athletic supplements, long before it was "cool".

Today, he is a professional Free Climber and sponsored athlete for his raw vegan super-food company based in Los Angeles. Tom has stunt coordinated for commercials, independent films and TV. He continues to act and perform stunts for film and television, while developing his own film projects.
