Peter Gerety was born on May 17, 1940 in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. He is an actor, known for Flight (2012), Charlie Wilson's War (2007) and Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009). He has been married to Natalie Burton since November 27, 2000. He was previously married to Sorrel Macgregor.

Best known for his role as Judge Daniel Phelan in TV's The Wire.

Was considered for the role of Ron Witwicky in Transformers (2007).

Brother of Anne Gerety.

Acted in two very different shows, both about police vice squads, with the exact same name, 19 years apart. He played Lieutenant Neil Fogerty on the comedy Public Morals (1996), and Sergeant Mike Muldoon, on the hard boiled drama, Public Morals (2015).
