Steve Gerbson

Steve Gerbson is an Artistic Senior Media Professional with significant experience as an Executive Producer, Producer, Director, Director of and Photography Production Manager, television and live events with national exposure. As a member of the Directors Guild of America and the Television Academy he has been a producer and director in the entertainment industry for the past thirty years and is president of Steve Gerbson Productions. During his long distinguished career he and his company have produced and directed shows for every major network.

Many of his shows have been honored with awards including the multiple award winning documentary "My Friend Changing the Journey", the Emmy nominated "Magic Garden Christmas", the ACE nominated shows "Broadway Baby" and "Comedy From Here" and the Oscar winning documentary "Close Harmony". His television series Sammytown, a reality show about famed Punk Rocker Sam McBride and the hard-edged life style of punk music and the price you pay, achieved finalist status in the New York Film and Television Festival.

Prior to his work in the entertainment industry he worked actively as a Director and Director of Photography in commercial production for such clients as General Electric, Coca Cola and Ford to name a few.

Mr. Gerbson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications at New York Institute of Technology and was honored in Who's Who of College Graduates. He received a Master of Arts degree in Critical Studies of Broadcasting from California State University - Los Angeles.

In addition to his continuing work in the entertainment industry, Mr. Gerbson fulfilled a lifelong ambition and began teaching young film and television professionals at the Art Institute and Cal State - Los Angeles.

He is married to Olivia Ayala and lives in Santa Fe, NM with his two dogs and cat, Mattie, Bennie and Kat Gerbson.
