Pleasant Gehman is a true Renaissance woman whose career includes acting, dancing, writing, painting and singing. As internationally acclaimed dance star Princess Farhana she performs belly dance and retro-style classic burlesque globally. She is known for her high-concept, innovative performances, dazzling stage presence, impeccable technique. Over the years she has also fronted four bands and is the author and/or editor of six books, including the acclaimed memoir, "Escape From Houdini Mountain" and "The Underground Guide To Los Angeles", which spent nine weeks on the LA Times Best Sellers List. She lives in Hollywood, California.

Pleasant Gehman is a true renaissance woman: critically acclaimed actor, best-selling author, international dance performer and instructor, musician and painter.

Under the names Pleasant Gehman and Princess Farhana, she has acted and danced in numerous motion pictures and network television shows and has danced and made cameo appearances in several music videos-for Madonna, Ricky Martin, INXS among many others. From 2006- 2009 she was the principle dancer in comedian Margaret Cho's touring burlesque show,"The Sensuous Woman" and also appeared dancing and being interviewed in segments in Margaret Cho's DVD Assassin as well as her television series "The Cho Show". She has appeared in many exotic dance documentaries, including Dirty Martini And The New Burlesque, A&E's "This Is Burlesque", and was the subject of Steve Balderson's 2009 documentary film, "Underbelly: A Year in The Life Of Dancer Princess Farhana" with camera crews following her performances throughout the world. The film was released theatrically as well as on DVD.
