Marie-Josée Gauthier(I)

After working as a dancer, Marie-Josée Gauthier began training as an actress. She has appeared in several films, including Trois pommes à côté du sommeil, Sous les draps les étoiles, Thirty-two short films about Glenn Gould, Le violon rouge, and Monica la mitraille. On stage, she has appeared in Les chantiers de la bombe and Une sorte d'Alaska (Imago Théâtre), L'affaire Tartuffe (Théâtre 1774), La Musica deuxième (Théâtre Complice), Six personnages en quête d'auteur (Théâtre de Quat'sous), Roche, papier, ciseau (L'Espace Libre), and Les jours fragiles (Théâtre Prospero). In 1994, she co-founded the 'Théâtre Complice' and regularly performs in the company's productions: "Comme des chaises," "Le Shaga," and "Yes peut-être". She was entrusted with directing "Juliette" and stage directing "De Julia à Émile." She was an acting coach for 'PPS Danse' and 'Montréal Danse'. In January 2005, his staging of "La pluie" at the Espace Libre was highly acclaimed. In 2005-2006, she co-directed the multidisciplinary show "Mi-ricordo", then directed "La maison de Bernarda", which was presented at the Salle Fred Barry in 2006 after a winter tour of 13 performances at cultural centers in Montreal (Canada).
