Armand Gatti was born on 25 January 1924 in Monte Carlo, Monaco. He was a writer and director, known for L'enclos (1961), The Other Christopher (1963) and The Writing on the Wall (1983). He died on 6 April 2017 in Saint-Mandé, Val-de-Marne, France.

Author, resistant, journalist who won the Prix Allbert-Londres in 1954, he wrote 44 plays.
