Biography

Anvar Hasanov was born on August 17, 1950 in Baku, Azerbaijan SSR, USSR. He was an actor and director, known for Mahkumlar (2007), The Last Night of Childhood (1968) and Lovushka (1990). He died on March 16, 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

From 1969 to 1973, he studied at the Faculty of Cinema and Drama Acting of the State Institute of Theater Art named after M.A. Aliyeva.

On December 18, 2000, he was awarded the honorary titles of "Honored Artist" on December 1, 2018 - "People's Artist".

On May 6, 2023, he was awarded a nominal scholarship of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for his services in the development of Azerbaijani culture.
