- He got to spar with Elvis Presley in the Sands Hotel at Elvis' request. Elvis asked Hank not to hit him in the face because Elvis had to do a performance later that night. Hank asked Elvis not to him in the face too because Hank had a performance later that night too. Elvis replied, "It would be an improvement if I hit you..." The two had a wonderful spar with one another. They both had great admiration for one another.

" And he would make the changes right then and there and the changes were [always] for the better. He was amazing. Just an amazing guy. Very soft-spoken. Just incredible. We would laugh all the time.
