Joan Gardner was born on October 26, 1914 in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, England, UK. She was an actress and writer, known for Dark Journey (1937), The Scarlet Pimpernel (1934) and Wings Over Africa (1936). She was married to Zoltan Korda. She died on September 17, 1999 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.

Not to be confused with American voice specialist Joan Gardner, who lent her talents to many cartoons during the 1960s and 1970s.

This stunning British actress was discovered for films as a teen by producer Alexander Korda. She retired within the decade after marrying his brother, director Zoltan Korda, to raise a family.
