Biography

George Gallaccio was born on December 23, 1938 in Brechin, Scotland, UK. He is a producer and production manager, known for The Omega Factor (1979), Alleyn Mysteries (1990) and Bergerac (1981).

He is the father of artist and sculptor Anya Gallaccio.

He turned down an offer to become producer of Doctor Who (1963) as the replacement for Graham Williams in 1980. John Nathan-Turner became producer instead. Ironically, according to Andrew Cartmel, Nathan-Turner turned down the chance to become producer of Bergerac (1981) several years later, which instead went to Gallaccio.
