- Corrado Gaipa was born on March 13, 1925 in Palermo, Sicily, Italy. He was an actor, known for The Godfather (1972), Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983). He died on September 21, 1989 in Rome, Lazio, Italy.
- His difficulty walking was incorporated into the character of Don Tommassino, even after he stopped playing the role. To accommodate his difficulty, the character was written as using a wheelchair for some scenes. The character continued to use a wheelchair in The Godfather Part III (1990). In The Godfather Part II (1974), Tommassino is shown being shot in the legs, explaining his subsequent use of the wheelchair.
- Dubbed many prominent actors in Italian, including Orson Welles, Lionel Stander, Lee J. Cobb, Ernest Borgnine, and Edward G. Robinson. He was the voice of Burt Lancaster in The Leopard (1963).
- Italian voice of Alec Guinness (Obi-Wan "Ben" Kenobi) in the "Star Wars" Trilogy
- Co-founded the dubbing company Cine Video Doppiatori, which handled the Italian versions of the original "Star Wars" trilogy, the "Lord of the Rings" series, and several of the "Harry Potter" films.
