Biography

Born in 1958 in France, and lives in San Sebastian (Spain) since 1985. He studied under Guy Maneveau at the University of Pau (France) ad under Bertrand Dubedout in National Conservatory of Toulouse. 1rst composition prize en 1987.

Multifaceted composer, working in different fields like films, concerts and stage music.

His music for films includes about 80 references with renowned Spanish directors such as Victor Erice (El Sol del membrillo), Daniel Sanchez Arevalo (Azul Oscuro casi negro, Gordos) , Iciar Bollain (Flores de otro mundo, Katmandú), Montxo Armendaríz (Silencio roto),Salvador Garcia Ruiz (Mensaka,El otro Barrio, Castillos de Cartón), Ramón Salazar (Piedras), Gracia Querejeta ( 7 Mesas de billar Francès), Eduardo Chapero-Jackson ( Verbo, Los mundos sutiles), Miguel Angel Jimenez (Chaika), Jon Garaño & Joxe mari Goenaga (80 Egunean, Loreak), and with other international names such as Omer Oke from Benin ( Querida Bamako, La causa de Kripan), Cuban director Pavel Giroud (Omerta), French Safy Nebbou (Le cou de la girafe) and from Finland Rax Rinnekangas ( Journey to Eden, Watermarked, The last life of Lucifer, Theo's House).

His music for movies won several prizes, including a Gold pentagram for "El otro barrio" at the Buenos Aires Film Festival, Silver Biznaga in Malaga Spanish film Festival for 20 Centimetros, Best European soundtrack for "Azul oscuro casi negro," from the European Composer Federation (FFACE),and received various nomination in Spanish academia awards (Goya), Finnish academia awards (Jussi) and Spanish music Awards.
