- On a NWA New England show in December of 2001, he (for real) attacked now-former referee Barry Ace right in the middle of the ring after a spot in the match was blown. Ace, who is now a top New England wrestling manager (and sometimes participates in battle royals), was not fully trained to be a referee. Knowing this, NWA New England Vice President Vinnie Capelli accepted full responsibility for the incident.
