Attempted to assassinated then US President Gerald Ford on September
5, 1975. After being wrestled to the ground by Secret service agents,
after she drew her gun, it was discovered that it was loaded
improperly, and there was no bullet in the chamber. She was sentenced
to life imprisonment.
