Biography

Yan Frid was born on May 31, 1908 in Krasnoyarsk, Russian Empire [now Russia]. Yan was a director and writer, known for Dvenadtsataya noch (1955), Vesenniye khlopoty (1964) and Letuchaya mysh (1979). Yan died on December 21, 2003 in Stuttgart, Germany.

Best Russian film director in musical comedies. His first tutor was Eisenstein in '30s. Participated in First and Second World Wars. 64 years of tuition in the art of film and opera direction.
