Mother of actress Sara Franchetti.

She returned to the screen in the postwar years, acting as a character actress in some moderately valuable films; in 1960 he appeared in La dolce vita by Federico Fellini, outlining a secondary but somewhat prominent character.

She appeared in numerous dramas and television series, including in 1955 'Piccole donne' directed by Anton Giulio Majano, in 1962 'Il caso Maurizius' again with Majano, in 1965 'Resurrezione' , directed by Franco Enriquez, and, in 1967, 'La fiera della vanità', , again directed by Majano.

She was an Italian film actress who appeared in 50 films between 1932 and 1990.

In 1985 she took part in the radio variety show "Lagrime"aired on Radio 1 as the grandmother of Diego Cugia, author and host of the program together with Massimo Catalano, and in 1988 she took part in the play "Donna Pirandello", directed by Aldo Sarullo.

She has also worked as a popular voice actress.

From the second half of the seventies her film career was rapidly declining, but she remained in the business until her death at the age of one hundred and two.

One of the most representative figures of twentieth-century theatre, she made her stage debut in the company of Luigi Pirandello, then working alongside Lamberto Picasso.

With a melodic and well-set voice, (she also worked as a voice actor, but essentially of second-rate character actresses), she was very frequently engaged in radio prose for EIAR and RAI since the early 1930s.

She made her debut as an actress in 1932, with the film Two Happy Hearts (Due cuori felici) directed by Baldassarre Negroni, but she almost immediately interrupted her film career.
