Biography

Fosforito was born on August 3, 1932 in Puente Genil, Córdoba, Andalucía, Spain. He was an actor and director, known for La novia de Juan Lucero (1959), Los celos y el duende (1967) and España otra vez (1968). He died on November 13, 2025 in Malaga, Andalusia, Spain.

Winner of the fifth Golden Key of flamenco singing. Only five of these have been awarded since the award's inception in 1862. Its previous winners were Tomás "El Nitri", Manuel Vallejo, Antonio Mairena, and Camarón de la Isla (posthumous).
