Biography

Lucia Scarano, formerly Lucia Forte, moved to Atlanta in late 2017 and continues to travel all over for work. Lucia has been fortunate to work with notable actors Kristen Chenoweth, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Viola Davis, Alex Wolff, Alex Neustaedter, John Goodman, Steve Carell, Lillian Lehman, to name a few and directors Tom Shadyac, Daniel Barnz, Barry Levinson, James Sadwith and Meg Ryan in her directorial debut, Ithaca. Born in Buffalo, NY, Lucia attended Crestwood High School in Mountaintop, PA and Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. Lucia has a degree in Theatre, Art History and Italian Studies. She trained in NYC in the early to mid 1980's specifically at Terry Schreiber Studios. She is a trained Montessori teacher. Lucia speaks Italian fluently and longs for a time when she can spend lengthy periods of time in Italia, her second home. Lucia is very proud of her dual citizenship with USA/Italy.

Was cast in the controversial dark comedy "Radio Free Babylon" as a visitor from the fictional country of Kakabooboostan. Writer/directorRichard O'Sullivan was sold on her due to her mastery of the non-existent Kakabooboostanian language and her willingness to work with livestock.

Lucia Forte is now known as Lucia Scarano (January 2015).

Is the proud mother of three children, Daniel Forte, writer of H8RZ, American Dreamer, and Bear Country.; Tony Forte, musician/bass player for Miguel Garcia in Nashville, and Jenna Rose, thriving in Berlin with her partner, El. She turns into a ridiculous child when she plays with her grandson, Ezra.

She appeared as a K-Mart cashier (who wore a tag with the name "Lucia" on it) in a 2003 episode of the network television series Dawson's Creek (1998).
