Biography

Katrina Morris was born on May 27, 1971 in Contra Costa County, California, USA. She is an actress and producer, known for SuperMarket (2018), The Position (2014) and Two Much (1995). She is married to Lonny Morris.

Katrina's great-grandfather was the silent film cinematographer, Duke Hayward. He was born in London as Bernard Charles Hayward and met Katrina's great-grandmother, Mary Evangeline Moran, a nurse from an Irish gold-mining family, when he came to California. Evangeline's brothers called him "The Duke" because of his English accent. He became known as Duke Hayward and filmed all but 4 of his films under that name. He made 14 films from 1915 until his death at the age of 38 in 1918.

Evangeline and Duke divorced after having Katrina's grandfather and another daughter. Duke subsequently married Lillie Hayward, who later wrote for the Mickey Mouse Club, along with the screenplays for several Disney Films. They had a daughter who was three weeks old at his death. Duke Hayward is buried at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in the Garden of Legends.
