Robert "Bob" Fletcher was a prolific costume designer for both stage and screen with more than six decades of experience in the field. He is best known for his work on the first four Star Trek films, and is considered the father of the classic Klingon and Vulcan, as we know them today. He passed peacefully in Kansas City on April 5th, 2021 at the age of 98.

Three-time Tony Award nominee. 1963: Costume Designer, &quot;Little Me&quot;. 1964: Co-Producer &quot;High Spirits&quot;. (He was also the scenic designer and costume designer for the musical.) 1969: Costume Designer: &quot;Hadrian VII&quot;.

Son of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0000748/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Leon Ames</a>.

Older half-brother of Shelley Ames and Leon Ames Jr.
