Biography

Thom Fleming was born on August 18, 1952. He is an actor and producer, known for Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997), Natural Selection (1994) and Trevor (1994).

His father was a doctor and his mother was a housewife.

Thom attended New York's Wagner College but left after his sophomore year to sell insurance before becoming a carpenter in 1974 in Montauk. He remained a carpenter until 1981 when his modeling career took off and he was earning up to $1500 a day. He tried to parlay that into an acting career but that didn't happen for him, so he returned to carpentry work. He was also a local fireman.

He was once married to a Canadian blonde woman named Jill, who works at a marketing firm in the Hamptons. They have two children together: Maggie and Mack.

In 1981, he was in a relationship with another model Carol Alt, but it didn't last long.

Model Scott Copeland discovered Thom, a carpenter, moonlighting as a bartender at a party in his hometown of Long Island, New York. Scott recognized potential in him and convinced the scruffy carpenter to lose 25 lbs and give modeling a shot. Two months later, Thom dropped the weight and booked the cover of GQ Magazine and Scott instantly became one of the most sought-after names in model management, while Thom continued to land magazine covers.
