Biography

Albert Sidney Fleischman was born on March 16, 1920 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer, known for Good-bye, My Lady (1956), Blood Alley (1955) and The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin (1967). He was married to Betty. He died on March 17, 2010 in Santa Monica, California, USA.

He died the day after his 90th birthday.

He spent much of his youth as a traveling magician. These tours later inspired some of his novels.

He served as a Yeoman on the sub chaser/destroyer escort USS Albert T. Harris. Fleishman participated in invasions of the Philippines and Borneo.

Among other places, he performed his magic act for Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) volunteers at their camps during the Great Depression.
