Neil Fitzpatrick grew up in the small town of Williamstown in Melbourne's inner west. Fitzpatrick joined a small acting company in his home town only to go on the grace the stages of the UK and Broadway alike. Fitzpatrick starred in mainly theater shows and at one point in Australian history, he was the face of Australian theater. He then went on to pursue a joint career in both stage acting and a new form of entertainment, being television. Fitzpatrick also went on to play important but minor roles on the movie screen and most recent being 'The Great Raid'. In 2005, Fitzpatrick was once again diagnosed with cancer, this time one that would claim his life.
