Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Kurt Fitzpatrick was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in South Harrison Township, New Jersey, where his father was the mayor and businessman and his mother a teacher at a local college. Kurt attended Catholic school for thirteen years (a basis for future comedy), and in high school he began doing theater. After high school, Kurt continued to perform, doing college and community theater, as well as stand-up comedy.

Kurt attended film school at Temple University and found a niche creating comedic films that he also acted in. He became primarily known as an actor in the film/TV program, since he acted in so many student films. After college he moved to New York City where he performed stand-up and wrote, directed, produced, and starred in the feature film "Kin."

Kurt continued acting in films, including leading roles in "Economics 101," "100 Stories," and "Singles.com." He spent five years writing and performing sketch comedy and improv shows in New York. In 2003 Kurt began performing an autobiographical one-person show titled "Hooray for Speech Therapy," which he began performing in New York and then toured cites from San Francisco to Saskatoon. In 2004 Kurt played the lead role in Ja Film's feature film "The Closer." Kurt continues to act in films and entertains audiences across North America with his unique brand of humor.

Kurt studied improv comedy with Alison Becker of MTV&#39;s &quot;Boiling
Points.&quot;

Kurt attended Temple University with Jimmy Pop, Ben McVoy, and Lori
Grossman.

Kurt auditioned for a role in &quot;8 Mile&quot; which was retooled and played by
Mekhi Phifer.

Kurt was &quot;discovered&quot; while auditioning for an off-off Broadway play
and was screen-tested for a lead role in Dreamwork&#39;s &quot;Road
Trip.&quot;

In 2001, Kurt toured with the National Theater for Children in a show
called &quot;Louie Louie,&quot; in which he starred as Nicki Neutron with Louie
the Lightning Bug. Kurt took part in a photo shoot as Nicki in Texas
and years later his image was used to promote the electric company in
an ad campaign in major airports and other places in the United
States.

Kurt was part of the cast of the &quot;Divine Rooms&quot; television pilot. He
was part of the unusual painting crew that worked with the host Angela
Gorini Perrone.
