Subsequently wrote books on current affairs, with a penchant for the intelligence networks and sidelined as a musical supervisor and songwriter for British films.
- He was credited with exposing the most notorious spy of the Cold War era - Kim Philby. British libel laws prevented the story from being published in Britain, so, with the aid of two of Fishman's friends on the New York Daily News, the story was broken in America.
