Biography

Bud Fisher was born on April 3, 1884 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was a writer and director, known for The Adventure Shop (1919), Red Hot (1922) and Steeplechase (1923). He was married to Aedita Stuart de Beaumont and Pauline Welch. He died on September 7, 1954 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.

Creator of comic strip "Mutt and Jeff."

The British police adopted the name "Mutt and Jeff" for one of their interrogation techniques, known better in the U.S. as "Good Cop/Bad Cop.".
