Helmut Fischer was born on November 15, 1926 in Munich, Germany. He was an actor and director, known for Monaco Franze - Der ewige Stenz (1983), Die Hausmeisterin (1987) and Strong Times (1988). He was married to Utta Martin. He died on June 14, 1997 in Riedering, Bavaria, Germany.

A bronze statue on his favorite square in the garden of a café near Münchner Freiheit in Munich is dedicated to his role on Monaco Franze - Der ewige Stenz (1983).

Worked as film critic at the Munich tabloid "Abendzeitung" until his TV breakthrough in the 1970s.
